Over 50 of LA’s Most-Renowned and Iconic Food Trucks Chow Down To Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

WHEN: Saturday, June 11, 2011, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
WHERE: Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 North Spring Street, L.A. 90012
WHO: The event will showcase the culinary offerings of over 50 of LA’s most popular and recognizable food trucks, including Grilled Cheese Truck, Ludo Truck, Nom Nom Truck, and Lobsta Truck. The cuisines du jour will represent over 25 countries, and gastronomic selections will range from frozen desserts to fusion flavors and everything between. From tiny taste buds to the most discerning of palates — you will find it at the Food Truck Chow Down.
Two stages will host live performances by Hollywood U2, Petty Cash, ZepShow, 40 Percent, Jeff Uzzel, Jasmine Commerce and Giana Nguyen. The day’s entertainment will also include carnival games, a video gaming truck and a showcase of rare cars.
WHY: Over 628,000 people suffer from lymphoma, and last year alone, over 43,000 Americans were diagnosed with leukemia. The Food Truck Chow Down will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this event to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, whose mission is to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
