Blue October at House of Blues Anaheim September 11th, 2011

Live Review and Photos by: GINA FINSTAD

House of Blues Anaheim Hosted Texas natives Blue October on September 11th, 2011. They explosive sounds rocked the sold out show while the crowd pulsed and echoed the brutally honest lyrics Justin Furstenfeld belts out without any apology. His voice vibrated each lyric as if reliving each and every moment like it was the first time. Accompanied on stage by his brother Jeremy Furstenfeld on drums, and percussions, Ryan Delahoussaye on Violin, Julian Mandrake on guitar and Matt Noveskey on bass guitar, it didn’t matter where you sat, you were able to see the band still loved what they do. Each band member gave 110% to that show. The House of Blues throbbed with energy bouncing from the audience and back from the band. The crowd waived their arms back and forth in sync with the songs melodies as Justin moved on staged reaching out and reaching the audience on a more personal basis. Blue October started their set with a few of their larger hits such as “Say it” and “Into the Ocean” but they also brought in an amazing array from all of their albums giving even the biggest of fans the satisfaction of singing along to their favorite song.
