Andy Warhol said that everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Peter Holmström founded The Dandy Warhols (a clever play on words with the late pop artists name) in the 90’s and proved that they have and are going to be around a lot longer than that.
The Dandy’s opened their gig with “Be-In” and the audience fell under the spell of their hypnotic sound. When Courtney Taylor-Taylor announced the Dandy’s recently released album, “This Machine” the crowd responded favorably and Courtney sincerely thanked them for being aware of the release.

This is a band that can immediately develop a comfortable rapport with their audience. The very talented Zia McCabe played the keyboards, the harmonica and then killed it on the bass during “Sad Vacation”. The guitar showmanship and talent of Peter Holmström during “Bohemian Like You” was breathtaking. It was impossible to look away when he was wind-milling his perfectly timed arm and playing the guitar. Brent Deboer played the drums and and kept the beat going to the very last song.

When the band started playing “Enjoy Yourself” from Time Machine everyone started dancing like the song had been around a lot longer than 3 weeks. About half way through the 2 hour performance Courtney played an acoustic solo of “Every Day Should be A Holiday” and Courtney invited everyone in the audience to sing along – and they did.

The Dandy’s ended the evening and explained they don’t do encores and leave the stage, change their clothes and play a final song – they just keep playing to a much appreciative audience. The Dandy Warhols have a unique sound, which is the result of 4 talented people coming together, and sharing their gift. Courtney ended the evening thanking the audience and saying, have been and ever shall be The Dandy Warhols. They gave a helluva great live performance!
