“With this being the lone So Cal appearance from the Stone Temple Pilots in 2012 and the first area appearances of the year from Deftones, Scars On Broadway and Hollywood Undead, Epicenter has truly become Southern California’s Rock Festival. Epicenter is packed this year with a killer mix of iconic and new bands that reflects the best in rock music,” says Gary Spivack of Right Arm Entertainment.
“Epicenter 2011 was a huge highlight of our all-important summer season,” says Rich Best, Executive Vice President of Booking for Live Nation’s Southern California division. “We are thrilled to team with Right Arm Entertainment once again and look forward to establishing Epicenter as the region’s perennial rock event year after year.”
Epicenter played Irvine’s scenic Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for the first time in 2011. While the setting may have changed, to paraphrase Led Zeppelin, the atmosphere definitely remained the same. In their review of the show, AOL Noisecreep called Epicenter a, “raucous day that thrilled the all-but sold out house.” It went on to declare that, “the Epicenter festival has established itself as a Southern California classic.”
