Last Tuesday, lead singer of Gold Motel Greta Morgan sat down with Ellenwood and had lunch at Tony’s Mexican Grill in North Hollywood to talk about the band’s new album and their East coast tour. On July 3, 2012 Gold Motel releases their second album self-titled, “Gold Motel.” To support the new album, Gold Motel will embark on an East Coast tour starting in their home town of Chicago with an in-store performance at Saki before playing everywhere from St. Louis to New York City.
When asked about how fans will react to their new album, she said, “…my hope for this album is that the people who are fans of our band…they will listen to it and connect with it. They’ll want to listen to our songs with the car windows down and share it with their friends.” She looked out the window and then thanked the waitress for the dessert and said, “I guess the rest is just icing on the cake.”
The band will be hitting the road next month in support of the release, including a July 21st date at Bowery Ballroom here in New York. All dates can be found HERE.
