O’Brother Announce Co-Headlining US Tour with Junius in February and March 2012;
January 10th CD Release Set for Debut Album Garden Window & Hometown Release Show Set for January 6th at the Masquerade inAtlanta, GA
New York, NY – Atlanta based O’Brother are excited to announce a co-headlining tour with Junius kicking off at DC9 in Washington, DC on February 16th and wrapping up at Warehouse Live Studio in Houston, TX on March 11th. The band will be hitting the road in support of the January 10th CD release of their debut album Garden Window (Triple Crown Records/Favorite Gentlemen) and before heading out with Junius, O’Brother is set to headline a hometown release show at the Masquerade in Atlanta, GA on January 6th.
The 2012 tour comes after nearly six months on the road for O’Brother where they shared the stage with Manchester Orchestra (whose Andy Hull and Robert McDowell produced Garden Window), Cage the Elephant, The Dear Hunter, and Thrice. These tour dates gave the band a chance to play their new songs live while the press was delving into the album. Early write ups have been nothing short of amazing with Decibelsaying that “If Radiohead’s Thom Yorke cut a record with the Melvins (never say never…), it’d probably sound a lot like this,” Alternative Pressdeclaring “…the best song Queens Of The Stone Age never wrote (‘Lo’),”and Drum describing the album as “the perfect late-autumn soundtrack.”
O’Brother is quickly becoming known for their powerful and dynamic rock sound both recorded and live. They will be celebrating the January 10th CD release of their debut album Garden Window with a special hometown record release show at The Masquerade on January 6th. Then February 16th they hit the road for their co-headlining tour with Junius that will take them through mid March. Pre-order Garden Window athttp://obrother.cinderblock.
