Flush with rolling piano, wistful strings, and brittle to booming percussion, The Spring Standards’ new double-disc record, yellow//gold, was released May 1st on Parachute Shooter Records. The album consists of two emotionally-charged EPs that tell intertwining stories of growing up and leaving home to embark on a new adventure. The band is wrapping up a national tour with Rhett Miller and performed single “Here We Go” on CONAN last month.

Like a group of journeying troubadours, The Spring Standards tantalize the imagination with truthful, relatable stories and create a musical atmosphere that covers a vast spectrum of emotion.
