With vintage analog equipment and a healthy dose of high voltage, Los Angeleno Nick Waterhouse is set to kick off a string of dates this September across the US and Canada. Fueled by an undying love for dusty record bins of obscurity, Nick has forged a unique sound in the landscape of contemporary music while paying homage to the hallmark sounds of mid-century Americana, namely rhythm-n-blues, rock and boogaloo. This sound seamlessly bridges the gap between yesteryear’s and today’s live audiences as Waterhouse mixes musical sensibilities of the past with a current sense of raw exuberance in his showmanship. GQ lauded his live show, noting that, “seeing him onstage with his seven-piece band, the Tarots, is as close as we can now come to catching Ike Turner & His Kings of Rhythm or ‘Hit the Road Jack’ era Ray Charles”

Nick will be performing tracks off of his debut LP, Time’s All Gone, released earlier this year on indie up-and-comer, Innovative Leisure. Taking his craft to a level beyond most, Waterhouse recorded and produced a record sonically fit to slip onto the same shelf as other Gold Star Studios recordings from the Beach Boys, Richie Valens and Phil Spector, discs cut on the same master lathe. The album has garnered notable audience attention and critical acclaim, with Spin calling it a collection of “badass neo-greaser San Fran soul.”

The tour kicks off with an appearance at Los Angeles’s FYF Festival on September 2nd.
