Long Beach based indie group Pebaluna have premiered a moody new ballad called “Sister Sara” from their forthcoming album, Carny Life, today on AmericanSongwriter.com. Carny Life is scheduled for release on September 18, but fans are invited to pre-order the album now at http://pebaluna.bigcartel.com/.
Melding influences of blues, R&B, folk, country, jazz and indie rock, Pebaluna are quickly making a name for themselves in the indie music scene with deeply passionate tracks like “No, I Can’t,” “Carny Life” and now “Sister Sara” from the band’s forthcoming album Carny Life.
“‘Sister Sara’ is an observation of the human condition; the mortal body which delights in instant gratification, and the soul or spirit which is trying its hardest to remain steadfast for a certain purpose,” vocalist Lauren Coleman tells American Songwriter.”
Like “Sister Sara,” Carny Life chronicles Coleman’s personal experiences of heartache and hard-fought battles with self that are deeply ingrained within the lyrics and music. Colman’s sweet, sultry vocals are backed by guitarist/vocalist Matt Embree of RX Bandits, drummer Jessica Lankford and bassist Jonathan Grillo, who provide a superb score to Coleman’s vocal tales.
Pebaluna are currently performing a handful of dates leading up to the release of the album. Stay tuned to https://www.facebook.com/Pebaluna for more information!
