Long Island, NY alt-rockers NGHBRS have released a new live music video for “Beautiful Birds.” The song was recorded live in studio and is an alternate jazzy version. The black-and-white video has a classic feel and complements the brilliant melodies of “Beautiful Birds.”
The track comes from a free mixtape that NGHBRS will be releasing via Paper + Plastick Records on August 30th. The digital-only mixtape will be comprised of seven songs – two acoustic B-sides, a remix, two live tracks recorded at Converse’s Rubber Tracks Studios, and two jazzy versions of existing songs that were recorded in studio. The full official tracklist and album art will be revealed soon.

NGHBRS has already debuted one song from the release, an acoustic B-side titled “Love, Come Down.” The stripped-down number can be listened to on the band’s YouTube page in the form of an awesome lyric video. The track is a great listen for old fans and new listeners, and a nice change of pace from the brooding, versatile indie-rock that NGHBRS displayed on its Hellomind EP.
NGHBRS will release two more videos leading up to the August 30th release of their mixtape. The band will also be heading into the studio to record a full-length album this fall for release in early 2013.
