Golden Gate Park, a refuge of nature and peace away from the bustle of downtown, occupies 1,017 acres of land in the San Francisco peninsula. The iconic park backdrops Outside Lands Music Festival, a celebration of culture and arts in San Francisco with stellar musical performances. Hosted by Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly Presents, in association with San Francisco’s Recreation & Park Department and the City of San Francisco, Outside Lands is onto their 8th year this August with big plans.

The park welcomed over 200,000 attendees last year for Outside Lands. Sell-out crowds watched world-class acts including Kanye West, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and The Killers. This year, Outside Lands has invited Elton John, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Wilco, Coldwar Kids, Kendrick Lamar, Sam Smith, Caribou, D’angelo and the Vanguard, St. Vincent, Chet Faker, Tame Impala, Odesza, and many more.

To complement a diverse line-up, the festival curates a plethora of beer, wine, and food options for the hungry or thirsty. Beerlands featured 29 different breweries last year, while Winelands showcased 34 wineries, many of which are located in California or Nevada. San Francisco restaurants and food trucks serve up their trademark specials ranging from ramenburgers to smoked coconut sugar brisket and then secret breakfast ice cream for dessert.

A portion of the ticket price supports the Recreation & Parks Department of San Francisco to maintain public grounds and provide programming.
