The annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is coming our way in April, and the lineup looks amazing. The stages at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, are going to see some of the biggest names in music, including headliners Beyoncé, Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar. Other major names you’ll see at the 18th Coachella include Bon Iver, Lorde, the xx, ScHoolboy Q, Justice, New Order, and Gucci Mane. There are also sure to be some surprise guests appear that will have everyone talking.
The festival is split into two weekends: April 14-16 and April 21-23. There are three different lineups that repeat each weekend, so it doesn’t matter which of the three days you decide to attend. On Friday, Radiohead is the big name, but you can also catch the xx, Father John Misty, Dillon Francis, Travis Scott, and Empire of the Sun. A number of up-and-coming performers will also take the stage, including Alison Swing, Zipper Club, Floorplan, and The Lemon Twigs.
Saturday is the big day for members of the Beyhive with their Queen Beyoncé taking center stage along with groups such as Bon Iver, Martin Garrix, Future, Gucci Mane, and ScHoolboy Q. Other groups performing on Saturday include S U R V I V E, Four Tet, the Head and the Heart, Banks & Steelz, Floating Points, Mitski, Car Seat Headrest, and Thundercat.
On the two Sunday dates, Kendrick Lamar performs along with Justice, Lorde, New Order, Future Islands, Han Zimmer, DJ Khaled, Lil Uzi Vert, Devendra Banhart, Real Estate, Kaytranada, and more. Smaller acts such as Caveman, GoldLink, Anna Lunoe, Twin Peaks, Preoccupations, Whitney, and Jen Ferrer will also perform.
While there are no major reunions planned for this year like there have been in years past, the festival is still shaping up to be one you just can’t miss. Tickets are already on sale, although the VIP three-day passes are sure to sell out quickly.
2017 passes will go on sale Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00am PST.
