Japan is Waiting for a Price Drop for 3DS: Are You?
Honestly, I’m skeptical about the 3DS still because I think 3D is just a fad. According to a recent Japanese survey with over one-thousand people, most people aren’t skeptical about the 3DS being a fad. They are just waiting for the price to drop. The other main reasons why Japan is waiting on the 3DS is because of health warnings and how heavy the device is.

With Sony pushing the NGP at E3 and possibly giving a release date at E3, could Nintendo be getting ready for a 3DS price drop announcement during the Nintendo Press Conference? As Nintendo’s conference is right before Sony’s, that would force Sony’s hand to maybe announce something about the NGP they previously didn’t announce.
Question for you guys: are you waiting on the 3DS or the NGP? Leave your comments below!

I have a 3DS and let me just say that I love it! The 3D effect is incredible and is sure is not a “fad” like you pointed out, I don’t like that everybody is so skeptical about the device and they haven’t even try. About the health warnings, the only reason nintendo is using those warnings is because they want to avoid getting a lawsuit from that one person out of the million, however, studies have being conducted about the use of 3D in movies or games and the studies had concluded that 3D effect doesn’t damage you eyes. Your eyes develop at a very early age as matter fact by the time a child is three their eyes are fully develop. This is situation is very similar to TVs when they first came out, at the beginning everybody started to say how bad television was for your eyes and how people could even loose their sight if they watch too much TV. Most importantly studies have found that the more expose the person is expose to 3D the more your eyes gets use to. All of this is common sense really the only thing that 3D does is two send two independent images to both of your eyes respectively making the effect of depth. Why would eyes get damage by watching 3D when thats what you eyes are made for? everything you see in the world you see it in 3D, so why would eyes get damage by doing what they are suppose to do? As far as the 3D effect in gameplay, not only does if make the game play more realistic and vivid. It also helps you to play the game without having less mistakes.
