Mass Effect 3′s Datapad and iOS Infiltrator App Announcement
EA announced in a press event today that the iOS app Mass Effect: Infiltrator will be coming soon, and will be a companion to the upcoming release of Mass Effect 3. Infiltrator was designed to be a third person shooter with a plot that involves rescuing prisoners while maintaining collective information against Cerberus. The more intel you collect against Cerberus, the more rewards you receive.
“Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the ‘Galaxy at War’ system in Mass Effect 3,” Says an EA Games spokesperson.
Higher “Galectic Readiness” translates into the best possible gaming experience one can achieve with Mass Effect 3. Did we mention that playing Infiltrator will unlock exclusive weapons?
Also coming soon is the release of the Datapad iOS app, which will allow you to receive in game messages and information directly to you from in game characters.
Don’t have an iOS platform? Maybe it’s time to think about getting one. There are no reports in regards to either of these apps coming to Android or Windows OS, and as far as an actual release date for the iOS apps, none has been announced at this time.
