HBO GO® Will Be Added to Xbox 360 April 1st
In a move to promote season 2 of Game of Thrones, HBO GO® will be added to the Xbox 360 dashboard which will enable streaming and access to every HBO series, film and documentary.
The news came last night in an announcement by Erick Kessler, Co-President of HBO. Since HBO Go® has always been a subscriber service, the logistics of who might be able to access it on April 1st is still up in the air (although most likely you will still need an existing subscription to HBO, as well as an existing Xbox Live Gold membership). Up until the April 1st due date, HBO Go® has only been available to customers of DIRECTV®, U-verse®, Verizon FiOS, Cox® Cable, Comcast®, DISH® Network, Suddenlink Communications, and Charter® . In April, 2011 the HBO GO® arrived to the iPhone, iPad and Android causing over one million downloads of the app in just one week. By the end of June, the app downloads grew to over three million.
