Super Mario 4 Domain Registration Could Mean a Sneak Peak at E3
Last week the interwebs were ablaze with the rumors surrounding the registration of supermario4.com. Clicking on the link re-routes to the official Nintendo Website. In an interview with Spanish publication, El Mundo, Shigeru Miyamoto expressed that there will be a reveal of a new Super Mario game at this year’s E3.
“I’m working on several projects but I think that I cannot talk about them all… Some are small but important projects for Wii U. Also on a new Pikmin, which will take advantage of the new HD screen resolution, and on Luigi’s Mansion for 3DS.” – Miyamoto via El Mundo
One way Miyamoto is confident that the Wii U tablet will prove to be a competitive utensil in the gaming industry is the fact that the gaming experience with the Wii U tablet will be un-replicable by any other tablet, giving a unique experience to players. The television screen will also be a parallel with the tablet screen.
In the interview, Miyamoto is complimentary to his team at Nintendo, stating that he knows the future of games like Zelda and Super Mario will still survive and continue to evolve long after he retires.
E3 Expo is scheduled for June 5-7, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
