Diablo III Beta Open for US Servers

Those wanting to get a first play at Diablo III will be able to starting today at 12:15 PDT and will carry on through the weekend until it closes on Monday April 23rd at 10:00am PDT. The official website states that you can log in and freely play with friends and test out any of the five characters (each character is able to level up to 13).  To participate you must have a battle.net account which you can obtain HERE.

Diablo III officially releases on May 15, 2012, and will be available for PC and MAC.
