The Fullbright Company Reveals Beginning Stages of Gone Home
Last month, we reported on the Fullbright Company (formed by a trio of developers that had previously worked on BioShock), and their mission to combine efforts to create a new game together. Today they announced their latest endeavor entitled “Gone Home.” They describe the fundamentals of the game by having the players “explore[ing] a modern, residential locale, and discovering the story of what happened there by investigating a deeply interactive gameworld.“ They want to encourage natural curiosity in the player by making drawers and doors fully explorable, with a focus on the tiniest details that should be held under scrutiny. As the game progresses they hope to achieve a sense of heightened interest that will create a player’s commitment to the story that is integrated into the environment.
Although still in a very alpha stage, screenshots of the progress thus far have been posted on the Fullbright Company’s website. Expect a full trailer reveal later this year, the below alpha trailer shows a very promising start to this uniquely crafted game.
