Leaked Mass Effect 3 DLC Could Be “Rebellion” Multi-Player
**Editor’s Update: The Rebellion Pack was confirmed on May 24th, 2012. Click HERE for details.**
2012 is definitely the year of the spoilers, and with leaks left and right Mass Effect 3 is no exception to the rumorville. It was accidentally announced on Sony’s Hong Kong website that the new DLC for ME3 is a multi-player called “Rebellion.”
Originally listed on Asia.Playstation.com’s website, Rebellion (if in fact, a real DLC) includes the below:
“The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues – hold the line!”
What’s interesting is besides the two new playable races (Vorcha and Phoenix Adept), the Quarian Infiltrator and Engineer are not new classes, so speculation has already turned to the possibility that these will be male characters (so far all Quarian characters are female).
No word yet from BioWare whether these claims are actually real, but we won’t be surprised if this DLC becomes a reality. Thanks to PikiGEEK who provided this screenshot, seen below:
As the page has since been pulled, we can only imagine that this is either a mistake, or a disgruntled employee wanting to stir things up in the gaming industry. Either way, we will update with official word once it’s been released from BioWare.
