JK Rowling and Wonderbook™: Book of Spells…”The Closest a Muggle Can Come to a Real Spellbook”
An interactive game that uses augmented reality technology was revealed at the E3 2012 conference, and it’s no surprise that it contains the imagination of JK Rowling. Developed by London Studio, the first in the Wonderbook™ series will transport players from their living rooms to Hogwart’s library with stunning visuals and brand new writing by Rowling who said, ““Wonderbook: Book of Spells is the closest a Muggle can come to a real spellbook. I’ve loved working with Sony’s creative team to bring my spells, and some of the history behind them, to life. This is an extraordinary device that offers a reading experience like no other.” [-via PlayStation Blog]
The Wonderbook™ will align players with the magical world of Harry Potter with spells, lessons, and house points. Becoming part of this interactive adventure will take storytelling to a new exciting level as players will get a literal hands on experience of what it’s like to transform themselves into wizard or witch
No release date has been announced, however the game is currently exclusive to PlayStation®3, and players must already have the PlayStation®Eye and PlayStation®Move Motion Controller to play.
