Holy Rocksteady Studios Batman Prequel, Batman!
The now untitled Batman prequel will take place during ol’ Bats’ first encounter with The Joker, and will be based on DC’s Silver Age era. Variety slates the earliest release for 2014, so there’s still plenty of time to watch the last Christopher Nolan Batman, replay Asylum and City, watch a bunch of the Animated Series, then anxiously wait for this little gem.
And dig this: The Justice League could make an appearance. If the game stays true to the comics at all, there’s a lot we might see. Computer and Video Games compiled a tasty list of things we could potentially see, but official word from Warner Bros. and Rocksteady is hard to come by.
While details about the game go about as far as “prequel,” and rumors as far as “Justice League,” the potential inclusion of the Justice League isn’t too hard to believe. Variety points out that the Justice League forming in the Batman prequel could be part of a bigger picture to give the Justice League movie some momentum.
