New Sci-Fi Action RPG Title Robot Rising for Facebook Announcement, Sign up for the BETA!

You can no longer hide your geekdom from your Facebook friends. Stomp Games will be releasing Robot Rising, a sci-fi action RPG, later this year on Facebook.
Stomp Games, Tencent Boston dedicated development team, boasts Robot Rising will utilize contemporary mobile and desktop technology to provide fast paced action. Vice President and General Manager at Tencent Boston Jeff Goodsill says, “Robot Rising will merge, action role playing game mechanics, real time combat and gorgeous 3D graphics with short session, appointment based game features social network players love.”The gameplay experience sounds extensive; Tencent Boston is claiming hundreds of levels of play, all in exotic environments.
Aside from action, Robot Rising is to offer some treasure hunting, and will require strategy. As a new species of artificial intelligence, players gather gear and treasure, construct a base, and control forces to battle robotic enemies.
Michael Fitch, Executive Producer at Tencent Boston is excited to use 3D graphics in a typically 2D genre: “Games on Facebook have a vast audience, but the production quality has yet to catch up with the best that the game industry produces on other platforms,” Fitch says. “Full 3D in the browser is a reality, and with core gamers’ never ending appetite for great games we have broken the standards of browser game development to produce a gorgeous 3D experience with all the action, sophistication and activity found on the console and PC.”

No official release date at this time, however is promised to be released sometime this year, 2012.
