The last song that Whitney Houston recorded before she died has premiered today.

Produced by R. Kelly, ‘Celebrate’ is a duet with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, and is taken from their upcoming movie, ‘Sparkle,’ a remake of the 1976 film about a girlband’s struggle to deal with the pressures of fame.

The track, which was recorded shortly before Houston’s death at a Beverley Hills hotel in February, received its world premiere on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show the day after Sparks paid tribute to the later singer at the Billboard Awards with a rendition of ‘I Will Always Love You.’

Sparks later took to Twitter to express her excitement at the song’s debut, posting: “I celebrate YOU, you celebrate ME!’ #Celebrate #Sparkle.”

Michael Jackson’s Bad to be reissued

Michael Jackson’s 1987 album, ‘Bad,’ is to be reissued later this year to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The King of Pop’s seventh solo studio effort will be re-released as ‘Bad25′ on September 17, and will include a remastered edition of the original, a collection of outtakes and demos, and a DVD of his 1988 Wembley Stadium performance.

Co-Executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson, John Brance & John McClain, said in a statement that they believed the iconic record, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, was one of the most important of the late star’s career:

“The era of Bad represented Michael’s creative ‘coming of age’ as a solo artist in charge of every aspect of his career – from recording to touring to endorsements to merchandising.

“This was the first album on which nearly all of the songs were written by Michael. It was also the first album in history to produce five consecutive number one singles and it took two-and-a-half decades for another artist to match that success.

“It was also the first time Michael would tour as a solo artist – his vision, his decisions on what the show would be.”

Lady Gaga last night premiered a new song during her guest star appearance on The Simpsons.

The 26-year-old, who became the latest pop star to be invited onto the hit show for its 23rd season finale, debuted a track entitled ‘Little Monsters’ that was specially written for the episode.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer, who previously claimed that her role on the series was the most nervous she’d ever been in her career, namechecked a number of Simpsons characters in the song including Disco Stu, Professor Frink and Grandpa Simpson.

The parody of her relationship with her fans included lyrics such as: “When they’re young, all little monsters learn that they are scary, ugly, stupid, shunned by cupid, overweight, and hairy.

“But every monster needs to find that secret deep inside, that transforms Dr Jekyll into sexy Mr Hyde.”

John Mayer opens up on candid interviews

John Mayer has opened up again on a number of candid interviews he gave in 2010.

The singer songwriter gave interviews that year and spoke openly about past relationships, such as with Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

Speaking to Guy Raz radio show All Things Considered, Mayer said that he was at a period in his life where he didn’t want to speak about his personal life but that he felt compelled to be open – perhaps encouraging him to embellish the truth a little. He said:

“I had nothing to say – I was going through a time in my life where I didn’t really want to share what was going on, but I didn’t want to be boring. I remember thinking to myself, ‘We gotta give a Rolling Stone interview? I don’t want anybody at Playboy to think this is a boring interview.’ I got those lines so crossed, that what you read – among other things, obviously – is this complete miscalculation in why I was asked to do the interview.”

He continued: “I wasn’t prepared to be honest, but I knew that I had to be open. When you’re just open but not honest, then you start free-associating garbage. It doesn’t mean I can go back and scrub it out, but I understand it [now].”

Pixie Lott praises mum for career support

Pixie Lott has revealed that she often takes her mum on tour to avoid feeling lonely.

The 21-year-old, who recently hinted at plans to record a new Motown-inspired album, admits she regularly relies on her mother for support and advice when away from her boyfriend, Oliver Cheshire:

“My boyfriend, Oliver, is a model and often just as busy as me, so mum still comes along when I travel. It’s no fun being in a hotel on your own – I get lonely.

“She looks after my scheduling because I’m rubbish at that. She’s also honest and tells me straight if I’m doing something wrong. She always has my best interests at heart.”

The ‘All About Tonight’ star, who previously admitted she is always careful not to upset her family with her career, also revealed that she still seeks her mum’s approval during her day-to-day life:

“I’m just the same now as when I was a teenager. Drugs don’t interest me but I like to go out with my friends and have a good time. I’ve thought about having a tattoo, but I don’t think mum would like it.”
