Welcome back you rawk-aholics!! This week I am bringing to you one of the hardest working bands fresh out of our beloved media town here in Burbank CA…

OUR NEWEST FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK: BACK POCKET MEMORY!!

Back Pocket Memory finished their EP Beneath the trees in early 2011, Produced by Erik Ron (I the Mighty/Foxy Shazam/Culprit) which features 5 songs that showcases the bands energetic emotionally filled FUN music.  As the band likes to describe it, “It’s like an audio hug from all five of us at one time. (We promise, we’re not clingy. ..Let’s hug again.)”… how can you not love these guys right? Between back to back local shows, touring, word of mouth, help from fans and town criers, even radio play on Los Angeles’s very own rock station KROQ they have built up one of the most loyal and humbling following — to whom they state, they are forever in debt.

The bands current single, All We Have, found on Itunes, features the gritty vocals of Chris Pennington, whose hypnotic melodies and powerhouse chorus show impressive strength and range.  The song is accompanied by the pulsating beats of Jason Montgomery, The dynamic guitar riffs are provided by Eddie Rosales and Ian Felchlin,  and bringing the song full circle, adding a hypnotic backdrop, on Bass, Rob Gallagher.  After finishing up a grueling tour schedule the band is now heading back into the studio to produce a follow up album due to be released Fall of 2012.

Currently Back Pocket Memory has 2 shows scheduled here in the LA area in the very near future.  Be sure to go check out the band on Facebook and pick up a copy of the album on Itunes.  The music on their EP is energetic and addicting.  An awesome addition to the rotation.  And come out to the House Of Blues on May 7th, where Back Pocket Memory will be directly supporting Steel Panther!
