Homefront features an Online Pass
Mom and Pop video game stores never effected the used retail market for video games. Unfortunately, corporations like GameStop have found a way to take advantage of the used sales market to the point that game developers and even game publishers are asking for their devoted fans to not buy their games used.
THQ has found their way around this used sales market with putting an Online Pass for multiplayer. Without this Online Pass, you can only access a small portion of the multiplayer. Just as World of Warcaft only allows players to level up until level 10 during their trial, THQ will only allow gamers to progress a few levels before being notified of not having the Online Pass.
Will this Online Pass change your decision on buying this title? What about the people that have multiple accounts per console that would like to play this game? It won’t affect mine because this game looks to be the only thing close to a sequel for last console generation’s Freedom Fighters.
