Portal 2 Footage Leaked – 4 Minutes on YouTube

This past weekend in Boston, nerds across the world joined in nerdom at PAX East. Many games were playable on the show floor and one of them was Portal 2.

Filmed with an off-screen camera by the guys over at Hot Hardware, they got over 4 minutes of footage never seen before. Check out the video by clicking on this sentence.

Devoloped by Valve, Portal 2 is due to release April 18th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Also if you purchase the PS3 version, you’ll be able to play it on your PC as well as long as you have Steam installed. Remember to pre-order it at your local game retailer!

Mass Effect 3 All But Confirmed

Today on EAStore.EA.com, Mass Effect 3 appeared online for PC for the not suprising price of $59.99. There really isn’t much to report new other than the description of the story listed in the games features. Here is that description:

Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth.

Fans of the Bioware classic already knew there was going to be some kind of announcement for a title in the Mass Effect universe, but this just confirms what we believed to be announced. Enjoy the likely announcement teaser tomorrow night on SpikeTV. The question that will be lingering in fans minds until the teaser is released though is whether the 3rd game in the franchise will release on the PS3 at launch along side the release of the Xbox 360 and PC adaptations of the game. Wait and see, we shall.

Leaving Someone 4 Dead – The Sacrifice

In November of 2008, we were introduced to the survivors. Three years later, they are still fighting for survival in a world that has been consumed by the zombie apocalypse. In September of 2009, they crashed courses with the survivors of Left4Dead 2. Now, the gang is going to get back together but someone will have to pay the ultimate sacrifice: their own life for the rest of the team.

In the latest downloadable content from Valve Studios either Francis, Louis, Zoey or Bill will need to let themselves have their brains become dinner for the coming infected. In four days, the DLC will be available for both Left4Dead the original and Left4Dead 2 on OS X, PC & Xbox 360. While the content will remain free for the desktop-based players, it will most likely cost 360 gamers an expected $5 or 400 Microsoft Points. Check out the trailer by clicking here.
